What we do
The Third Space Eugene creates in-person, fun facilitated discussions that bring diverse perspectives together with curiosity and support. We are passionate about sharing cultural interactions and personal stories that expand our minds and hearts. The Third Space Eugene offers a friendly and safe space, open to everyone.
Our skilled facilitators from the Eugene/Springfield area represent a wide variety of backgrounds.

Our Inspiration, and Who we are
A group of long time Eugene community members and friends who have written books, served as teachers, authors, scientists, entrepreneurs and officers of the peace have devoted our lives to building positive community. Some of us have trained with Lee Mun wah of Stir Fry Seminars, and received inspiration from organizations like the Braver Angels, participated in programs through the Inner Yaga Foundation, the Mankind Project and a multitude of programs, about community and personal growth.
Our core group includes Linda Hamilton, Ron Tinsley, Ib Hamide, Steve Newcomb and Barb Stevens-Newcomb.
The name, The Third Space, originally coined by Indian scholar, Homi K. Bhabha, makes reference to a way of thinking and communicating that allows for negotiation, integration, and the creation of something new.
